WA State Nominated Migration Program Closed for 2023-24
WA Migration Services has officially announced the closure of applications for the State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) for the 2023-24 program year. The decision comes as the number of applications received has exceeded the available allocations for the current year.
Effective from the close of business on 2 February 2024, WA Migration Services will no longer accept new SNMP applications. However, existing applications that were lodged before this deadline will still be processed under the existing eligibility criteria. Eligible applicants will receive nominations, subject to the availability of allocations.
It’s important to note that some eligible applications lodged before the closure date may not be considered as part of the 2023-24 program year. Applicants affected by this will be contacted accordingly.
For individuals whose visas are expiring, it is recommended to seek professional advice from a Registered Migration Agent (RMA) to ensure lawful stay in Australia during this period.
The State Government continues its efforts to advocate for nomination allocation numbers that align with the needs of the State. Further updates on this matter may be provided as the situation evolves.
Stay informed and adhere to the guidelines provided to navigate through the migration process effectively.
