“Professional Year Program could help you land on your dream Job”
A Professional Year Program is a structured professional development program developed by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) which combining formal learning and workplace experience for international ICT (Information & Communications Technology) graduates. Professional Year Programs was a part of the Department of Home Affairs initiative to provide short skills training to overcome skill shortage.
The program runs for 44 weeks which includes the first 32 weeks of theoretical knowledge and communication skills training, while the remaining 12 weeks provide students with an opportunity to apply acquired knowledge and learned techniques in practice through an internship
The professional Year program is currently available in the fields of accounting, computer science and engineering — Australian industries where the demand for skilled graduates is high.
This PY program also makes the students eligible for 5 extra points on the Department of Home Affairs points test which increases their chances of permanent residency in Australia.
