Canberra Matrix Invitation Round: 30 August 2022
The national capital of Australia, Canberra also affectionately known as ‘the Bush Capital’ for its sweeping nature reserves and surrounding mountain ranges has conducted the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) nomination. The ACT is a landlocked federal territory of Australia containing the national capital Canberra and some surrounding townships.

The Government of ACT sets a number of nomination spots (pro-rata against the annual allocation) each month for which the highest ranking Matrix holders in each occupation are invited to apply for ACT nomination. Criteria like the monthly allocation, the date and time of Matrix submission, occupation cap and demand determine the cut-off for selection for that month. According to the Government of ACT if the demand for an occupation is high, higher the rank of Matrix score would be invited for that particular occupation.
It has been provided by the ACT Government that in case of applications that are being processed or if someone is already nominated for the ACT, no invitation would be given in such cases. It has also been mentioned that no priority would be given to individuals upon their personal circumstances including the dates on which visas expire or when circumstances change, such as important birthdays etc.
