Breaking: Subclass 190 ROIs β Accepting Only Gold Pass Candidates
In response to overwhelming demand for subclass 190 nomination, Migration Tasmania announces a temporary measure affecting the acceptance of Registrations of Interest (ROIs). Effective immediately, only ROIs that have been allocated a Gold Pass will be considered for subclass 190 nomination for the remainder of the 2023-24 program year.

Impact on Subclass 190 Nomination
- Only candidates with a Gold Pass will be eligible for subclass 190 nomination.
- Migration Tasmania will resume accepting ROIs from all eligible candidates when the 2024-25 Tasmanian Skilled Migration State Nomination Program commences in July 2024.
Options for Candidates
- Candidates may still submit ROIs for subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional visa nomination, as there are currently no restrictions in place.
- Alternatively, candidates may choose to wait until the 2024-25 program opens to submit an ROI for subclass 190 nomination.
Updates for Existing ROIs
- ROIs with a Green Pass will be invited to apply for nomination, but issuance of invitations may be delayed until the next program year due to limited places.
- Subclass 190 ROIs with a Green Pass will remain valid until an invitation is issued.
- Candidates wishing to update their ROIs for subclass 190 nomination should contact Migration Tasmania.
