Updated Labour Market Testing
- Employers must now complete labour market testing within six months (instead of four months) before nominating a skilled worker.
Income Thresholds for Skilled Workers
- The Bill will set minimum income thresholds for skilled visas, ensuring workers receive fair pay.
- These thresholds will be updated every year on 1 July, based on changes in average earnings in Australia.
Public Register of Sponsors
- A new public register will list approved sponsors, including their business name, ABN (Australian Business Number), postcode, number of skilled workers sponsored, and their job roles.
